Create a HIPAA training attestation letter

The attestation tool creates a signed letter in which your organization states that its workforce completed HIPAA training. It's often used for vendor questionnaires and contracts. It's separate from your HIPAA Certify training records, and anyone can use it, with or without an account.

Create a letter#

1. Go to hipaacertify.com/tools/hipaa-training-attestation.
2. Fill in Organization Details, Training Information (year, completion date, method and scope) and the Authorized Signer.
3. Click Generate Attestation Letter →.

You'll get a reference ID like HIPAA-ATT-AB3CD7XY and can Download Attestation Letter (PDF). A copy is emailed to the signer.

Remove the watermark#

The free letter includes a watermark. Click Remove Watermark - $4.99 on the confirmation page for a clean copy. This is a one-time payment.

Verification#

Each letter includes a link auditors can open to confirm it's authentic: hipaacertify.com/verify/hipaa-attestation/[reference ID].

Find, download or delete your letters#

1. Go to the attestation page and click Manage Attestations, or open …/lookup.
2. Enter the signer's email and click Send Verification Code.
3. Enter the 6-digit code from the email. Codes expire in 15 minutes.

Letters can't be edited. To fix a mistake, delete the letter and generate a new one. Each email address can hold up to 5 letters.
